OrigenLuigi Chavarría, born on Curaçao on the 14th of September 1992 with a Dutch Nationality, is the second child of Luis Chavarría and Ninotchka Daal. EducationIn July 2010 he finished High School (H.A.V.O, Peter Stuyvesant College) and thereafter perused a Pâtisserie diploma in Paris, France. ParisAt this culinary school (Le Cordon Bleu Paris) he was the youngest student at the age of 17 to have ever attended.And he was also awarded the best of the school in his first trimester of Basic Pastry.He attended this school from September 1st 2010 to 17th March 2011when he graduated. LadureéAfterwards he was approved for an internship at the oldest and the best Pastry shop Ladureé, Paris est1862.Directly after this internship he was offered a contract, which he signed with Ladureé.It was at this moment when he had it all, that he realized the opportunity he saw back home in Curacao, where the art of French pastry didn’t exist. VisionIn June 2012 he registered his business at the Chamber of commerce of Curaçao.From that moment on till the end of that year, he spent testing recipes, developing his product, investing in his materials and machinery to make the vision of his professional Kitchen a reality. Future DirectionOn November 1st 2013 after have finished a delivery in Willemstad (Curacao’s capital) he saw what could make his vision complete: an 18th century Colonial style house in the old Jewish neighbourhood of Scharloo in the city centre.Ever since then he has been brainstorming on his concept, on how to make his vison a reality once more.A French style Pâtisserie in Curaçao will attribute way more than one can simply imagine.
